Creating A New Indicator DesignOK - You have decided to make your own indicator design available for the community or only for yourself. The first step is to log in, if you have not done it yet. Go to My Indicators from the links in top part of the page. This will open you a list of all your indicators. By clicking an indicator line, you will be thrown to the indicator preferences. To make a new indicator, click Create A New Indicator link on the left. You will be prompted to select the base images for your indicator. What are Base ImagesBase Images are static images that are used as a background of your indicator. Create the base images with your favourite graphic application and save them in PNG-format to your hard disk. Base images will define the size of your indicator. Each base image (offline, online pilot, online atc) should be exactly same size. I speak now about the physical size (height and width), not the file size. File size of each base image should be kept below 20 kb. Uploading Base ImagesWhen you have the new indicator upload page open, there are three file upload fields and two selection menus. For each type of indicator, select an appropriate method to handle the base image from the selection menus. Then pickup the image files from your hard disk by clicking the Browse-buttons. When you have filled the file upload form, click "Upload Base Images". If there are problems with the file upload, the system will give an error message. If everything is OK and the base images were uploaded correctly, the Indicator Settings page will appear to your screen. Next Section: Indicator Settings |
